Aqualand - Torremolinos
Approximately 10 minutes from the apartment is Europe’s largest water park. Aqualand is a place where you can spend a day having lots of fun with the best aquatic attractions one can ever imagine, including one of Europe’s highest Kamikaze’s slides! Also, this year the park offers a new attraction: the “Boomerang”, plus relaxing green areas and 18-hole mini golf course.

Crocodile Park –Torremloinos
Right next door to Aqualand is an African adventure at your feet, but fenced off! Europe's only crocodile park has 300 crocodiles, from babies right up to the huge five-metre long adults weighing in at almost 500kg. The park has now opened a mini zoo especially for children with deer and miniature ponies, and now counts over 300 crocs among its inhabitants, including the massive Giant of the Nile and 'Big Nose', an old age pensioner of 77, measuring nearly five metres. The park's 'nursery' is always busy thanks to the park's successful breeding programme (each female can lay 30-50 eggs a year). There is also a museum where you can swot up on croc facts, a video presentation, and restaurant and souvenir shop.

Mijas Water Park – Fuengirola

Fuengirola Zoo – Fuengirola
10 Minutes from the apartment Fuengirola zoo is the most modern zoo in Spain, and reflects the true environment of the animals. Set amidst tropical forests of Madagascar, Equatorial Africa and Southeast Asia, this zoo is designed to replicate the natural habitat of each of the animal species living here. Large areas have been created in which water and vegetation are plentiful - rivers, gigantic trees, waterfalls, bamboo-shrouded temples, hanging bridges and abandoned mines.

Tivoli World - Benalmedena
15 minutes from the apartment Tivoli World is a small theme park surrounded by beautiful fountains and gardens, where you'll enjoy nostalgic classical attractions to the latest generation of thrilling rides. Experience one of the best flamenco shows on the coast in the Andalusian Square and feel the old wild west in Western Square which is an authentic reproduction of a wild western town. There are over two dozen thrilling rides to choose from as well as a tiny tots section, restaurants and bars. In high season this park is also open late into the evening.

Teleferico Cable Car – Benalmedena
Next door to Tivoli World, this spectacular cable car takes you to the peak of the Calamorro Mountain, rising up 724 metres, where the panorama is spectacular, with fabulous views over the Mediterranean and on a clear day as far as the Rock of Gibraltar and the Coast of Africa. At the top of the mountain there is a bar, small souvenir shop and several different hiking trails that vary in their level of difficulty. The footpaths are excellent and well sign-posted and there is plenty of camera-clicking scenery. The telecabin ride is certainly one of the best ways to explore the stunning and little known backcountry of the Costa del Sol.

Selwo Marina – Benalmedena
Selwo Marina features dolphins, sea lions, penguins and exotic birds and offers an excellent day-out for all the family. Contained within a compact and well laid-out site that makes getting around very easy are a very good range of things to see and do. To the left of the entrance you can see the dolphins and sea lions, next to that is the open-air theatre where the shows with the exotic birds and the children’s theatre take place. Adjacent to this is a very well designed children’s play area with underground slides, tunnels, caves, climbing frames and overhead walkways. To the right of the site are the penguinarium, touch pools and virtual reality areas.

Selwo Safari Park – Estepona
Selwo lies near Estepona off the N340 highway approximately 25 minutes from the apartment and is the largest of its kind in Spain, featuring over 2000 species of animal living in over 100 hectares of land. The park is certainly not a zoo, as animals are semi-wild and include the usual favourites such as lions, tigers, rhinos, elephants, giraffes and bears. The park also contains a botanical garden, a huge reptile house, as well as restaurants and refreshment areas. There are tours that take place from an all-terrain vehicle with some great guides and many open walks that require plenty of water and sunscreen! A great day out for all the family, enjoy it!!
