This luxury penthouse apartment, 'boasts' one of the very best placed locations on this complex affording the enjoyment of full sun from sunrise to sunset across its' very large terrace due to its south facing aspect! The outlook from the terrace area, captures a 'superb' view of the Mediterranean sea, the coastline of Africa and more often than not, the Atlas Mountain range, providing many photogenic opportunities throughout the day & evening!
This beautiful and spacious penthouse apartment, is furnished to a very high standard, equipped with all your 'home from home' comforts to allow for the best self-catering experience possible. The apartment is set on a secure, electric gated complex, providing 4 pools, 3 of which have small separate pools for very young children and each are set in lovely landscaped gardens with sunbeds, toilets and showering facilities.
The apartment has its' own designated underground parking space next to the lift, which takes you directly to the apartment door. The apartment is all laid out on one level and there are ramps and walkways outside the building which allow for easy access to the pool areas making our accommodation more than suitable for families with young children and guests with mobility difficulties.
Calahonda and the apartment, is just an easy 25 minute drive from Malaga airport allowing you to be soaking up the sun and sipping a cool drink on the terace within an hour of landing! Calahonda is situated a few kilometers east of Marbella and is right in the heart of the Costa del Sol's 'Golf Valley'. Calahonda is in an excellent location from which to easily visit some of the other well known resorts along this part of the coast, such as Puerto Banus, Marbella, Estepona, Mijas, Benalmedena, Ronda and not forgetting Gibralter for that Duty Free experience and 'The Rock' for your monkey encounters! (don't forget your passports!)
The complex is only a 5 minute drive from 2 wonderful beaches at Cabopino and La Cala, a 2 minute drive to nearest golf course 'La Siesta' and the well known 'Costa del Sol Tennis Club'. A 10 to 15 minutes drive will give you access to Mijas Water Park, Aqualand, Fuengirola Zoo, Crocodile Park, Tivoli World, Sealife Centre, Selwo Safari Park, Selwo Marina, Cable Cars and Funny Beach, to name a few family attractions and the complex is only a 3 minute drive from an abundant choice of bars and restaurants within the resort of Calahonda itself, not to mention the exhaustive range of nightclubs, theatres, cinemas and casino's which can be found nearby and all along this coast. The nearest bar/restaurants and ATM are around a 5 minute walk from the complex entrance.
There are around 70 golf courses on the "Costa del Golf" which can be played all year round making the location of the apartment excellent for GOLFING HOLIDAYS, as well as a whole range of other activities such as water skiing, windsurfing, sailing, scuba diving, horse riding and dolphin and whale watching safaris to keep all sports enthusiasts happy!
The excellent location of the apartment makes it very easy for day excursions and tours to many of the Coast’s traditional and historical towns and villages as well as being in close proximity to many of the daily Spanish markets and why we always recommend car hire to make the very most of your stay at our apartment and for the convenience of a self-catering holiday. Throughout the year there are many traditional Spanish Fiestas in the locality that you can easily access to experience the ‘real’ flavour and taste of Spanish Culture!
With the Costa del Sol Weather giving average annual temperatures of 18ºC and over 320 days of sunshine per year, it isn't difficult to understand why it is one of Europe's top holiday destinations!
